Max Skilling Guide
This guide takes you through every skill on Fantasy, from your first levels to the Max Cape and the Completionist Cape. Each section gives a simple route that works from level 1.
The Max Cape and Completionist Cape
Both capes are sold by the Max Master at ::home, and both double the XP you get in every skill. The price is paid from your coin pouch.
| Max Cape | Completionist Cape | |
|---|---|---|
| Requirement | 99 in every skill | 120 in every skill |
| Price | 5,000 coins | 100,000 coins |
| Benefits | 2x XP in all skills 2x voting rewards 2x Trivia Points 2x Season Pass XP | 2x XP in all skills 2x voting rewards 3x Trivia Points 2x Slayer XP 3x Season Pass XP 2x achievement progress |
Slayer counts as done once you have prestiged it. Infinity Slayer does not count toward either cape.

XP boosts worth using
- Donator rank: every rank multiplies your skilling XP, from x1.05 (Royal) up to x6.5 (Terrific).
- Well of Goodwill: the top Well benefit gives +20% XP to everyone.
- 20% Voting XP Scroll: one of the vote rewards. It gives +20% XP for 4 hours, so activate it before a long session.
- Max Cape or Completionist Cape: 2x XP once you have one.
Fishing, Cooking, Mining and Smithing
This route uses the Creative Workshop, where all four skills use special Space resources from level 1.
- Click Fishing in your skills tab to teleport to the Master Fisher. Buy a fly fishing rod and plenty of feathers.
- Go to Teleports → Minigames → Creative Workshop.
- Walk to the edge of the dock and fish Space Fish. Fishing to 120 should give you enough fish for Cooking.
- Cook the fish on the fire at the other end of the dock. Choose a large amount (for example 2,000) so you don't stop after one inventory.
- Click Mining in your skills tab and teleport to the Mining Guild. Buy a pickaxe from the shop there. The Rune pickaxe needs level 41 Mining, so use your starter pickaxe until then.
- Back in the Creative Workshop, walk north from the dock to the Space Rocks and mine them to 120.
- Smelt your Space Ore into Space Bars at the furnace near the rocks.

Evolution
Evolution is an AFK skill. Use ::afk to go to the Evolution Energy Sources and start with Energy Source 1. Move up as you unlock each one:
| Energy Source | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Evolution level | 1 | 10 | 20 | 35 | 50 | 70 | 90 | 97 | 104 |

Optional: the Evolutionists in the Royal Donor Zone can drop 2x Evolution XP and 2x Evolution Essence scrolls. You can claim up to 5 of each for a permanent boost.
Tip: start Evolution early and leave it running overnight.
Mining, Runecrafting and Infusion
- Use ::essence to go to the essence mine. Click a rune essence rock and choose Pure essence (the option appears from level 31 Mining; below that you mine Rune essence).
- Take the essence to the altar at ::home and start with Air runes. As you level up, always craft the best rune you can.
- Right-click the altar to turn on repeat last. While it is on, clicking the altar crafts the last rune you made. Use the option again to turn it off.
- Use your runes to infuse weapons. Start with your starter weapon, then move on to the best weapon your Infusion level allows. The full list of weapons, levels and rune costs is in the Infusion Guide.
| Rune | Air | Mind | Water | Earth | Fire | Body | Cosmic | Chaos | Nature | Law | Death | Blood |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level | 1 | 2 | 5 | 9 | 14 | 20 | 27 | 35 | 44 | 54 | 65 | 75 |

Tips: the 2x Runecrafting Scroll from the Slayer shops permanently doubles the runes you craft. The Save Infusion Charges prayer makes your weapon use fewer charges.
Woodcutting and Fletching
- Click Woodcutting in your skills tab and choose the low-level spot. The woodcutting shop there sells hatchets up to Dragon, and a knife for Fletching.
- Chop normal trees, then willows from level 30.
- At 45, chop maples. Keep going to 75 for magic trees, or switch to yews at 60.
- From 60 you can also use the High-level Woodcutting teleport.
- Once Woodcutting is done, fletch your logs. Make the best bow you can:
| Logs | Shortbow | Longbow |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | 5 | 10 |
| Oak | 20 | 25 |
| Willow | 35 | 40 |
| Maple | 50 | 55 |
| Yew | 65 | 70 |
| Magic | 80 | 85 |
When your logs run out, finish Fletching by stringing magic bows. Click Crafting in your skills tab: the Master Crafter sells bow strings, and flax if you want Crafting XP as well.

Farming and Herblore
- Click Farming in your skills tab to go to the farming patches. The Master Farmer there sells seeds, a rake, a seed dibber and secateurs.
- Rake the weeds off a patch, then plant. Start with potato seeds in an allotment for your first levels.
- Plant the best herb seed you can:
| Herb seed | Level | Herb seed | Level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guam | 9 | Avantoe | 50 |
| Marrentill | 14 | Kwuarm | 56 |
| Tarromin | 19 | Snapdragon | 62 |
| Harralander | 26 | Cadantine | 67 |
| Ranarr | 32 | Lantadyme | 73 |
| Toadflax | 36 | Dwarf weed | 79 |
| Irit | 44 | Torstol | 85 |
Then click Herblore in your skills tab. The herblore shop there sells vials of water, the potion secondaries and the ingredients book, which shows what each potion needs. Clean your herbs, use them on vials of water to make unfinished potions, and add the secondary.

Creation
Click Creation in your skills tab to open the Creation window. Every item you create gives Creation XP, and items in higher tiers give more. A failed attempt still gives a little XP. Creating the items you need anyway, such as gear and level unlocks, is the natural way to level it.
Hunter
- Buy a butterfly net and some impling jars from the Shop keeper at ::shops.
- Click Hunter in your skills tab and teleport to Puro Puro. Catch the best impling you can:
| Impling | Level | Impling | Level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Baby | 1 | Eclectic | 50 |
| Young | 17 | Nature | 58 |
| Gourmet | 34 | Magpie | 65 |
| Earth | 34 | Ninja | 74 |
| Essence | 40 | Dragon | 83 |
- From level 23, take the Karamja - Trap area teleport from the Hunter skill. Buy bird snares from the Hunting expert and catch birds until level 60.
- At 60 you can use box traps (also from the Hunting expert). Catch grey chinchompas in the trap area until 63.
- From 63, catch red chinchompas, the fastest Hunter XP. They spawn in the trap area and in a small group a short walk north-east of the Cooking skill teleport.

Tip: the tiles right next to a chinchompa spawn can be hard to place a trap on.
Thieving
The Thieving stalls are at ::home. Steal from the best stall you can:
| Stall loot | Level |
|---|---|
| Banana | 1 |
| Golden ring | 30 |
| Damaged hammer | 60 |
| Staff | 65 |
Crafting
Click Crafting in your skills tab. The Master Crafter sells a chisel, flax and uncut gems. Cut the best gem you can, and stay on Dragonstone until 120.
| Gem | Opal | Jade | Red topaz | Sapphire | Emerald | Ruby | Diamond | Dragonstone |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level | 8 | 13 | 16 | 20 | 27 | 34 | 43 | 55 |

Prayer
Prayer comes almost for free while you do the Starter Boss.
- The Starter Boss (Teleports → Zones → Starter Zone) drops 5 Boss Bones on every kill. Each Boss Bone is worth 50,000 Prayer XP.
- You can also buy Boss Bones in the Coin Shop at ::shops.
- Use your bones on the altar at ::home. When it asks how many to offer, pick X and type a large number to offer them all in one go.

Agility
Click Agility in your skills tab and choose the Gnome Course.
- Every full lap gives Agility XP and 2 Agility tickets. If you fall off an obstacle, go back and do it again, or the lap will not count.
- Each ticket can be traded in for 500 Agility XP.
- Wear an x2 Agility Ring if you have one: it doubles your Agility XP.

Good luck on the road to 120 in every skill!
